Q. I am new to Linux. After installing Fedora Core 4, it is prompting for username and password at GUI window Login screen. I don’t want to install Linux again. What is the default username created during a new installation of Fedora Core Linux?

A. It is created for system admin account called root and the password you entered during installation is for root user.

Username: root
Password: Password you entered during installation.

If you forgot password just follow these instruction to reset root password.
