As a hard core UNIX user, I prefer to use command line DNS tools such as
=> dig
=> nslookup
=> host
=> whois
=> telnet
=> ping and other utilities
Check out ajaxdns.com, it offers:
=> Live DNS
=> Whois search
=> IP Whois
=> RBL search and more
It has simple and clean GUI :) Good for new users!

http://www.ipgp.net is other good tool to show information about IP addresses
in linux (RHEL-4) when i setup DNS server and type command
#service named status
then diaplay result in this “login queary status OFF”
why its show OFF and what’s its mean.
