FTA "...More than one year after the release of Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 alias 'sarge' and nearly four years after the release of Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 alias 'woody' the security support for the old distribution (3.0 alias 'woody') is coming to an end next month. The Debian project is proud to be able to support its old distribution for such a long time and even for one year after a new version has been released..."

How do I upgrade from woddy to sarge?

Yup, it is a good time to upgrade your version from woody to sarge with following two commands (oh yah make sure you have backup of important data) :

# apt-get update
#apt-get dist-upgrade

Note: Change all (non-local) references to "woody" to "sarge" in /etc/apt/sources.list. Then run above commands.
