Fedora Linux version 11 has been released and available for download ( jump to download link ). Fedora Linux is a community-based Linux distribution. Fedora is sponsored by Red Hat, Inc.
One of Fedora's main objectives is not only to contain free and open source software, but also to be on the leading edge of such technologies.
Fedora 11, codenamed "Leonidas", was released on June 9, 2009. The features include ext4, a 20-second startup, and the latest GNOME, KDE and XFCE releases. Firefox 3.5 and Thunderbird 3's latest pre-releases are available as well.

32 bit vs 64 bit Fedora 11 version
- For almost all PCs select 32 bit version. For e.g., most machines with Intel/AMD/etc type processors. Good for destkop usage. Almost all multimedia plugins and software works with 32bit edition.
- Choose 64 bit version to take full advantage of computers based on the AMD64 or EM64T architecture (e.g., Athlon64, Opteron, EM64T Xeon, Core 2). For servers and advanced feature such as hardware error detection, access to more than 4GB RAM and so on use 64bit version.

Dear Sir,
I want to change all my windows XP systems (Celeron 2.4, Intel 845GV mother board, 256 MB DDR RAM 40 GB HDD), can you help me with the sutable desktop version of Linux to be installed for the above said configuration.

The Bit Torrent files for downloading Fedora 11 seem awfully slow. The only alternate .torrent file I found was from Pirate Bay, and that was even slower. Does anyone know of yet more .torrent files for Fedora 11? There is no rule that says it has to come from the Fedora Project.
Tried the DVD 64 iso and it did not work. I download it twice…something wrong with the image you have … please update.

When you downloaded it twice, did you check the checksums to make sure it downloaded correctly? Or did you download it with a utility that automatically performs this check, such as ‘curl’ or ‘wget’?
Unfortunately, it really is more likely that your download failed twice in a row than that they are hosting a bad image.
I have a mac powerPC G3 running Mac OS 9.2. I have heard that Linux can run on a MAC. If it is possible, what version. I would like to run Linux fedora, but I have no clue what to do. Any kind of help is welcome! The Mac has 384 MB of RAM, 40 GB HD, CDROM

You can run the i386 version on the new Macs, the ones that use the Intel processor instead of the PowerPC. But I have not heard of a build that will run on a PowerPC G3.
I have heard of a build of Knoppix Linux that runs on the PowerPC. It was used by SystemRescueCD, which is (was?) available in a PowerPC version.

My command history as root shows the following commands, I can’t remember which one worked to install mysql and mysqladmin:
29 yum list mysql*
30 yum upgrade mysql*
80 yum install mysql mysql-server
81 yum install mysql-administra*

Fedora is great for a server based operating system. When it comes to desktop OS is very difficult to configure it, for movies, audio. I find just using windows for it program with fedora to delete any viruses.

Abdul, yes u can. It depends on what u want to do with both of them. Most linux OS can be installed within windows now. You can also install in another partition or use vmware workstation to install virtual OS.
