I have F7 in my laptop over here in Afghan. I will upgrade to F8 on my desktop when I get back. I tried to run SUSE 10.3 for like a day and when it couldent resolve its own dependencies I switched over to F7.

Hi Bharat,

Don’t go for Network install if you are unaware of the above steps. The easiest way to get the Fedora 7 Live CD. Boot from the CD and you will see an icon in the desktop to install the CD content in your computer. Live CD contains a fair amount of software which will in most of the cases will be sufficient for you.

Once installed using the Live CD, then you can boot the system without the CD. If you need additional software, Click on “Applications” and select “Add/Remove Software”.

2. how to extract the contents of the DVD iso into the web shared directory.
3. from where to get the rescue CD.

No CD iso files were released for Fedora 7 except for the live CD and the rescue CD. If you only have a CDROM drive, live CD is the way to go. Boot and then install in your hard drive. Another option is to download the DVD iso and extract all the content into a web shared directory (in another computer). The boot from the rescue CD and specify that you prefer HTTP installation (Network installation). You will be asked to specify the web server name and the directory which contain all the files you extracted from the DVD.

I guess nobody can find CD ISOs ???
Come on obviously not everybody has a DVD Reader, and certainly everybody doesn’t have a DVD writer to write the ISO
