If you want to install extra features it downloads and installs those on the fly.  Opensuse 11.1 is the same... you can get the KDE live CD... only 1 CD but it is also stripped down.
If you know what you are doing you probably have a DVD burner... and therefore would want to get the DVD for opensuse.
Overall, I am quite impressed with opensuse 11.1.  KDE 4.1.3 is leaps and bounds above the KDE4 included in opensuse 11. In my experience this particular flavour runs as quickly as windows does on my machines.  I see no speed increases for using it.
Of course, that doesn&#039;t discredit the fact that it works very well, is reasonably easy to use.   It&#039;s nice to see such diversity of options within the linux community, but if you&#039;re looking for speed....   I don&#039;t think this is the one to go with.
