I have brand new dell powerdege server T100 and nothing on it and would like install 2 node oracle 11g rac on oracle linux . what are the best ways to do.
oracle VM server(does it need 2 servers ?)
or
Virtual box

if u want to create standalone machine then u can use given link where u can download Oracle Virtual Box & u can use. http://www.virtualbox.org/

Why not you try install Oracle VM in VMware Workstation 1st?

Remember: you’ll need at least two powerful server-PC’s to use Oracle VM. One for OVM-server and another one for the manager.
Upon installing the server, it will wipe the complete drive and installs a basic Xen-Linux platform.
The manager consists of software to be installed on a RHEL- / Oracle OEL-platform.
