Applying the patch worked.

I also did -d upgrade few days back. Everything worked fine except my wireless card was dropping packets. So I blacklisted rt61pci driver and compiled and install latest driver from official site. However I've not noticed any a drastic drop in the response of the system (hell I've quad core CPU and load is always below .12).

t_shawn,

I also did -d upgrade few days back. I have a new Dell XPS410, came pre-loaded with 7.04 and everything worked fine.
After the upgrade the 2 issues I have are that my sound card is no longer detected. I have tried the many solutions posted online to to avail.
The other thing I have noticed is a drastic drop in the response of the system. Applications are taking an extraordinary time to launch.
I may reload the pc completely after I download the official release today.

I upgraded with the -d option about a week ago, and have been taking updates as they come out.

I have a new Dell XPS410, came pre-loaded with 7.04 and everything worked fine.

After the upgrade the 2 issues I have are that my sound card is no longer detected.
