Run Ubuntu GNU/Linux or Gentoo Linux for UltraSPARC T1 Servers

This is great news :D

Sun is really taking out hit from other server providers. With growing demand for the popular Ubuntu GNU/Linux distribution from Canonical is now available for Sun Fire CoolThreads servers with the UltraSPARC T1 processor.

Only following two distributions certified to run Linux:
=> Ubuntu Linux
=> Gentoo Linux

Ubuntu 6.06 LTS server for Sun UltraSPARC 64bit architecture is now available from Ubuntu / Canonical to run on the Sun Fire T1000 and Sun Fire T2000 Servers with CoolThreads technology. All support is provided by Ubuntu / Canonical directly, and from their community.

Download Gentoo Linux for UltraSPARC T1 Servers

Gentoo Linux 2006.1 for Sun UltraSPARC 64bit architecture is now available from Gentoo to run on the Sun Fire T1000 and Sun Fire T2000 Servers with CoolThreads technology. All support is provided by the Gentoo Community.
