To fix this you need to add UseKeychain option to the open SSH config file as follows:
$ vi ~/.ssh/config
Update or add Host * as follows:

Host *
       UseKeychain yes

Save and close the file. Now try ssh again:
$ ssh your-user@server-name
Now macOS Sierra terminal will remember SSH keys between reboots in the user’s keychain when attempting to use a particular key.
