This problem can be fixed using any one of the following method on a Linux operating system. This is related Intel HDA driver called snd-hda-intel. If you use the latest kernel this problem may not occur at all.[donotprint]

Update alsa-base file
First, open a terminal window or Terminal app.
Edit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base, enter:
sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base
OR
sudo vi /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base
Append the following
options snd-hda-intel model=3stack Exit and save by using CTRL-X and confirming
Save and close the file. Reboot the box:
sudo reboot
If you do not want to reboot the box, try the following two commands at shell prompt:
sudo rmmod snd-hda-intel sudo modprobe snd-hda-intel
