It is official now. Microsoft is throwing away old code base of Edge browser and making next version of Edge browser on top of Chromium. The open source project behind Google Chrome is known as Chromium. Microsoft is building a Chromium browser to replace Edge on Windows 10 on both x86 and ARM-based systems.
Google Chrome has “Chrome PDF Viewer” to view or open pdf files. It is an unwanted feature. I do not need it at all. I want my PDF open in Preview on a MacOS X or default pdf viewer in Linux. This feature was hidden. I want to disable it from my Google Chrome browser because it was slow scrolling with a large pdf file sizes.
Chromium engineer Dirk Pranke says Chrome is about to drop support for all 32-bit Linux distros soon. The open source version of Chrome (Chromium) is not affected. I use Google Chrome on the 32bit netbook for Netflix, and I need to either switch to Firefox or upgrade the netbook.
I use the gpass password manager to store my randomly generated unique password for each site. However, many sites such as net banking prevent you from pasting a password when signing up.
